Now this is an a-dorable baby photo of the newborn baby daughter of 'Packed to the Rafters' former co-stars [now partners in life] Jessica Marais and James Stewart.
They named the little girl Scout Edie, and in an exclusive interview with Who magazine - out today - the smitten couple reveal details of Marais’s pregnancy, her 11 hour labour (“Jimmy breathed with me and reassured me the whole time,” says Marais), their birth plan (Scout was born to Sting’s “Fields of Gold”) and the joy of becoming parents for the first time.
“You can’t prepare yourself for what happens once that little person enters the world,” says Marais, who shows off her week-old daughter in a series of intimate family portraits.
“It’s just sheer and utter love, it’s overwhelming.”
As the young family prepares to make the temporary move to the US, where Marais will resume work on the set of Miami-based drama Magic City, the actress reveals how Scout’s arrival has strengthened the bond she shares with her fiancĂ©, Rafters star Stewart.
“We’re a family,” she says.
And who do they think she looks like?
“She has her mum’s lips and my nose,” says Stewart. “And definitely her dad’s head of hair!”
Who magazine is onsale today, 18 May.
